A world class engineer turned council Chairman, Hon (Engr) Sesan Olowa, has been identified as an administrator par excellence.
Speaking with some of the political appointees in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, they described the Chairman as an impeccable personality that has been able to use his wealth of experience in the private sector to improve the lots of the people of the Local Government Area through his all-inclusive style of governance. Excerpts:

Q: What has been the impact of the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olowa, more importantly in the area of education?
A: In Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, education is a top priority because we have a dynamic and resourceful personality as the council Chairman. Hon. Olowa is a pragmatic leader with commitment to improve education. Several structures were renovated in public schools while new ones where constructed to create the required environment for pupils to acquire knowledge. We also established what we called The Readers' Club in all the public schools to imbibe reading culture in the pupils and by extension take them away from social vices like cultism, drug abuse among others.
The Local Government also took a step further by partnering with the Pan Atlanctic University to further equip our youth and also encourage inter-school debate among public schools as this will give them the opportunity to explore their God-given talent. Public schools without fence have been fenced while we also engaged professionals to mentor pupils in public schools for them to redirect their energy towards productive sectors. These are some of the things we have done in the education sector. At this juncture, I will like to enjoin the electorate to cast their vote for their Chaiman, Hon. Olowa Sesan, during the July 12 council election because he has been able to rewrite the history of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area through road infrastructure, construction of new office edifice, introduction of Keke Jaja to ensure clean environment and more.

Q: Hon. Sesan Olowa havs emerged as the flagbearer of the APC for the July 12 council elections, how do you feel with this development?
A: The activities of Hon. Sesan Olowa as the council Chairman for Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area in the last four years have been highly commendable. The chairman has fulfilled his campaign promises to the electorate by doing the needful for the people.He has provided stomach infrastructure, reconstruction of road networks, clearing of drainage channels to reduce flooding in the Local Government Area. His projects are spread across all the wards in the Local Government Area and they have provided succour to the people and I believe that with the level of his performance in office, he deserves a second term. I will like to encourage the people that they should cast their votes for him.

Q: I will like to verify if the current administration recognised traditional institutions in the Local Government Area?
A: I can confirm to you that our amiable Chairman Hon. Sesan Olowa has high regards for traditional institutions in the Local Government Area. Monthly meetings were held with royal fathers to consult with them on critical issues as it affects their localities while recommendations were taken to improve the welfare of the people.In Lagos State today, Ibeju-Lekki is one of the best Local Government Areas that take keen interest in the improvement of welfare packages for royal fathers. As such, in a couple of months, the administration of Hon. Sesan Olowa will donate operational vehicles to royal fathers in the Local Government Area. We have taken a step further to promote the traditional heritage of the people by providing financial support for them and we intend to do more. That is why we implore the people to return the Chairman to office for a second term.

A: From your point of view, do you think the current administration in the Local Government Area has reduced the death-rate in the LGA through improved healthcare?
A: Hon. Sesan Olowa has changed the face of Ibeju Lekki Local Government in all sectors compared to what he met on the ground. He has renovated all the primary healthcare centers in the local government and also equipped them with modern medical equipment. In Lagos State today, Ibeju-Lekki runs the highest number of primary healthcare centers and we intend to build more. More importantly in the riverine communities. I am happy to serve under the administration of Hon. Olowa because he is the pride of the people as he is delivering democracy dividends to the doorsteps of the people and he has equally promised to do more if given a second term in office.Hon. Sesan Olowa is a man of his words because when he makes promises to the people, he will bring it to reality with God on his side. I pray that he will continue to excel in office.

Q: the July 12 council election is around the corner, what is your message to the electorate?
A: My message to the electorate is that they should elect APC candidates during the election because APC is a party with a vision and a mission. In Ibeju-Lekki, the party's candidate isa professional engineer turned politician, Hon. Sesan Olowa, he has keen interest in grassroots development and has a great passion for human capital development. His administration in the last four years made impacts in all sectors of the Local Government. Should we talk about health, education, sports development, road infrastructure, empowerment programme for the aged and many more? He has done a lot. Engr. Olowa has been able to provide all-inclusive governance in the Local Government Area and what is left for the electorate to do is to ensure that there is continued and speedy development through their casting of their vote for Hon. Olowa.

Q: Why do you think the youth need to vote for Hon Olowa?
A: we must appreciate God for giving us the opportunity to elect Hon. Olowa as a council chairman, Hon Olowa was sent to the people of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area to improve the living condition of the people and this he has continued to bring to a reality with available resources at his disposal.
Hon. Sesan Olowa ensures that the people of the Local Government feel the pulse of good governance through several intervention projects that have improved the well-being of the people in the area of health, education, youth development and more. He is an intelligent politician that has maintained good communication with the grassroots people, holding regular meetings with associations, CDCs and CDAs, youth group and more, to fashion new ways forward towards the economic growth of the Local Government Area. I will urge the people to give the council Chairman the opportunity to consolidate on his achievements and further position the Local Government Area on a pedestal of monumental development.

Q: what has being the impact of the chairman in the area of Agriculture?
A: Hon. Olowa is poised towards making Ibeju-lekki Local government the food basket of Lagos state and this he will bring to reality through mechnised farming.
Equipment have being purchased for this objective while seminars and conferences are being held with farmers to positioned them on a vantage position and enhanced food security which will go a long way to reduce hunger and put smiles on the faces of the people.
What is left for the people of Ibeju-lekki local government is to continue to support the chairman in prays and also take a step further to cast their votes for him during the July 12 elections.
